The ninth annual Access 5k/10k/Capernaum Adventure Challenge (Formerly Funwalk) presented by Young Life is scheduled for April 29, 2017 at Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, IL. The Capernaum Adventure Challenge will start at 9:00 and the 5k/10k will start at 9:30. Proceeds from this event help send teens with special needs to Young Life camp and support the bi-weekly meetings and activities of Young Life Capernaum in Naperville/Aurora.
This racer and family friendly event for 2017 features:
- 5k/10k is fully chip timed using bib chips
- Fantastic crushed limestone course for runners of all abilities
- Great race food including Chik-Fil-A sandwiches
- All participants are entered for our race day gift drawing - previous years' give-aways include new running shoes, acoustic guitar, gift baskets etc.
- Capernaum Adventure Challenge includes some fun obstacles/games
- Race shirt for all participants that register early
- 5k/10k age group winner prizes
